It's not final
Playing with some different ideas some more, what if the player had time to reposition their traps before the level started, and then couldn't edit them directly during game play? The timer was added and the Edit/Play buttons were removed and this build will be used for some play testing with friends. I also added movement boundaries on how far the traps can be moved around the screen.
Also, I've been looking through free and paid assets and if there is any advice about game dev it is this: experiment with different themes. I put some different sprites together that did not go together at all. The end result looked so bad that I honestly wanted to give up. The sprites got reverted back to the image above which makes it feel better and I'll keep developing from here.
